As with any production, challenges emerged. The team faced a last-minute location change that required them to pivot their plans entirely. The Crew and Gear
The Great Escape was filmed on the Sony FX6, which Luke paired with a Sigma 35mm lens to capture the expansive widescreen shots that adventure films demand. This choice enhanced the sense of depth and scale, bringing a cinematic quality to the action sequences. Adrian Cipriano (Grip/PA) and Sam Bredeweg (Producer/Gaffer) were instrumental in handling equipment, props, and setups. Their dedication, from managing hazy atmospheric effects to wrangling equipment under the hot sun, was essential to the film’s gritty, authentic feel.
Working with Cast and Extras
Filming with larger groups posed unique challenges, especially during scenes involving tourists and soldiers.
